One driver was killed and the other hurt in a head-on crash Monday in Warren, authorities said.
It happened about 6:50 p.m. on U.S. 63 North.
According to an Arkansas State Police report, 37-year-old Bridgette Monique Bass of Arkadelphia was driving a 2004 Saturn Vue south on the highway when the sport utility vehicle crossed into the northbound lanes.
Police say it then collided head-on with a northbound 2007 Dodge truck.
Bass suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the truck, 74-year-old Katheryn L. Johnson of El Dorado, was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. The extent of her injuries wasn't clear.
The report didn't indicate what may have caused the Vue to cross the center line. Conditions at the time were said to be clear and dry.
The death was the 221st in a traffic crash in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
