As the one-year anniversary of the disappearance of a Searcy toddler approaches, the FBI said Tuesday that it is offering up to $20,000 as a reward for information leading to a suspect.

Malik Drummond was last seen Nov. 23, 2014, at his home in the 700 block of West Park Avenue in Searcy, where he was reported to have wandered off at night.

The award announced Tuesday is for any information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of a suspect.

Drummond would now be 3 years old. He was described in 2014 as standing 3 feet tall, weighing 40 pounds and having brown hair and eyes.

A week after the boy's disappearance, police called off a volunteer-led search that included a sweep of the Little Red River in Searcy.

Police at the time said that a criminal investigation was ongoing.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the FBI's tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324) or the Searcy police at (501) 268-3531.
