Police were investigating after a man was robbed and shot Friday in Little Rock.

Otis Hicks, 50, said he was at a carwash in the area of Colonel Glenn and John Barrow roads when two men approached him about noon, according to a police report. The men held Hicks at gunpoint and took $460 from him.

Hicks said he ran away and one of the robbers fired one shot at him, striking his right calf, according to the report. Hicks was taken to UAMS Medical Center for treatment. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.

Officers searched the area of the shooting but couldn't determine a crime scene.

The robbers are both described as black.

The shooter was said to be between the ages of 21 and 23 with shoulder-length dreadlocks. He wore bluejeans and a red shirt.

Hey Trolltar - Did you see the story where 500,000 opponents of effective gun control demonstrated their open-carry and marksmanship skills this past weekend when gun deer season opened? Or do you just troll urbanites opposed to effective gun control?

I have hunted deer and quail myself, so I wish licensed hunters a safe and enjoyable hunt.

By what rationale could one conclude all of Arkansas' deer hunters oppose doing what we can to keep guns out of the hands of criminals?

Pactrollman, I can't recall the last time a strong-arm robbery involved a .30-06. By the way, every one of those deer were once a fetus.

Hey Boltar - "By what rationale could one conclude all of Arkansas' deer hunters oppose doing what we can to keep guns out of the hands of criminals?" By the same rational one concludes that criminals give a $hit about gun laws, so-called effective or not.
    .
Hey dontsuffer - Alas, the point went so far over your head it's not worth the attempt to help you grasp it. Maybe, just maybe, if you read my response to Boltar's question above you will get it.
    .
And what's your point about every deer once being a fetus? Are you really, seriously equating white-tailed deer to humans? Wow, dontsuffer, just WOW!

Packman, let me help you apply simple logic because you seem confused.

Besides the obvious maxim that actions speak louder than words, logic dictates the conclusion a gun-wielding robber opposes effective gun control.

    1. This person chose to wield a gun in the commission of a crime.
    2. Effective gun control would eliminate his ability to wield a gun.
    3. Therefore, this person opposes effective gun control.

Can you provide evidence that demonstrates a flaw in this logic?

Can you support as logically your foolish claim about all Arkansas' deer hunters, or did your keyboard again overload your processor?
