A man was robbed at gunpoint Saturday after his truck stalled on South Valentine Street, Little Rock police reported.

Amos Sanders, 48, was trying to restart his 2004 Nissan Frontier near West 24th and Valentine streets about 6:15 a.m. when two people walked up to him, and one put a black handgun to his head, a police report states. The robbers ordered Sanders to get out of the truck, and then they took his wallet, cellphone and wedding ring.

The robbers were both dressed in red caps, red shirts and red shorts, police said. They were described as about 6 foot and 150 pounds, of unknown race and sex.

After he was robbed, Sanders walked a mile to the police station on West 12th Street to report the crime. Sanders told police he was "shaken up" and that he would walk another couple of miles to UAMS for treatment.

No arrests had been made as of late Tuesday.
