University of Arkansas Athletic Director Jeff Long addresses media questions after his speech at the Little Rock Touchdown Club on Monday, Sept. 21, 2015.

University of Arkansas Athletic Director Jeff Long told attendees of Monday's Little Rock Touchdown Club meeting that the Razorbacks are committed to "getting things fixed" after recent losses.

"I'd be concerned if we didn't have people upset," he said to a full room at Embassy Suites in Little Rock.

The Razorbacks are 1-2 so far this season and will play Saturday against Texas A&M. The game will be televised from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, starting at 6 p.m. on ESPN.

Long said the team is not giving up and is maintaining a "never yield" attitude, adding that the best way to improve is to keep working.

"We're not certainly where I thought we would be," Long said after his speech. "I thought I would be coming here to Little Rock to speak on being 3-0, but we're not. ... Success is not a straight line. There are steps and those hurdles, and side tracks and back steps, and then you go forward."

Long also addressed recent additions to campus for student-athletes, including the Jerry and Gene Jones Student-Athlete Success Center that was dedicated Saturday on the UA campus in Fayetteville.

The Little Rock Touchdown Club presented Long with a Razorback-themed cake commemorating Long's 56th birthday, which is Monday.
