Pine Bluff police officers who have received medals of valor will surrender their awards Thursday, the department said Wednesday.
On Monday, Mayor Debe Hollingsworth said that the City Council had given her office a Friday deadline to have the police chief return the 12 medals given to members of the SWAT team involved in the July 2013 killing of Monroe Isadore, 107.
Isadore was shot after firing at police in a standoff.
The officers will return their medals at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the City County Chambers, police said.
