Early-voting poll sites open today statewide

Early voting starts statewide today for the March 1 primary election and nonpartisan judicial general election.

Information about voting hours and locations is available from county clerks or local election commissions. Some information also is available from the secretary of state's website at votenaturally.org.

In addition to deciding party nominees, including those running for president, and judicial candidates, the ballots in some counties include issues such as Pulaski County's Rock Region Metro transit agency election.

From today through Saturday -- as well as from Feb. 22-27 and Feb. 29 -- early voting will be available at the Pulaski County Regional Building, 501 W. Markham St., Little Rock.

The hours will be from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays, with one exception. On Feb. 29, the hours will be from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Eight other Pulaski County sites will be available for early voting today through Saturday, and from Feb. 22-27, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays.

Those locations are:

• Dee Brown Library, 6325 Baseline Road, Little Rock.

• Roosevelt Thompson Library, 38 Rahling Circle, Little Rock.

• Sidney S. McMath Library, 2100 John Barrow Road, Little Rock.

• William F. Laman Library, 2801 Orange St., North Little Rock.

• Jacksonville Community Center, 5 Municipal Drive, Jacksonville.

• Jess Odom Community Center, 1100 Edgewood Drive, Maumelle.

• Jack Evans Senior Citizen Center, 2301 Thornhill Drive, Sherwood.
