Arkansas bank robbed of $10,500, police say; 24-year-old arrested

UPDATE:

A 24-year-old stole nearly $10,500 from the Bank of England at 9:15 a.m. Friday, the England Police Department chief said.

Police Chief Nathan Cook said Robert Hunter of England walked into the bank's east branch wearing a black motorcycle helmet and pointing a green semi-automatic handgun at the four tellers on duty. Hunter said, "This is not a joke. Give me all your money," before taking the cash and fleeing in a red Honda three-wheeler, police say.

He was arrested just before 11 a.m. and taken to the Lonoke County jail, where he is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, Cook said.

The Lonoke County sheriff's office, the Pulaski County sheriff's office, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the Arkansas Highway Police assisted in the arrest.
