Little Rock police were called to Motel 6, 7501 Interstate 30, about 5 p.m. after gunshots were heard. When officers arrived at room 334, they found Cledia Graves of Little Rock with his arm around the neck of Fassan Jones, 21, also of Little Rock, according to a police report. Jones had been shot in the buttocks.

Jones told police that Graves had been drinking and "doing powder." Graves became paranoid and thought someone was in the room, so he fired the gun, which was stolen, about four times, the report said.

Graves was arrested and booked into the Pulaski County jail on charges of domestic battering in the first-degree, possession of firearms by certain persons, possession of cocaine, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and theft by receiving.

Police previously reported that Graves was shot in the left side of his abdomen outside a Waffle House at 4200 S. University Ave. in March.

Graves, who is on parole, was still listed on the jail's inmate roster Saturday night.
