A former Melbourne High School teacher faces 33 counts related to a party last month in which she is accused of providing alcohol to 11 underage students at her home.

Mallory Dawn Rorie, 27, of Horseshoe Bend is charged with multiple counts of social host involving a minor, furnishing alcohol to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the Izard County sheriff's office.

The party is said to have occurred Dec. 11 involving nine male students and two female students, according to a statement.

A school resource officer provided the names of 12 students, all under 18, who were interviewed over the course of the investigation, the sheriff's office said.

One of the 12 underage students interviewed told authorities that he had been to Rorie's house but was not there the alleged night of underage drinking.

The other 11 students said they were present the night of the party — some saying Rorie provided the alcohol and others telling the sheriff's office that they supplied the alcohol.

Authorities said Rorie left her job with the school district after the allegations came to light.

Rorie was arrested and booked into the Izard County jail Jan. 13, according to the sheriff's office. She was released later that day on $2,500 bond.

According to authorities, Rorie has a court appearance scheduled for March 2 in Horseshoe Bend.
