Pine Bluff police found a man shot to death outside a popular barbecue restaurant in the city Monday morning and are investigating the case as a homicide, according to a news release.
The body — identified later Monday as 49-year-old Allen Lee Lampkin of Pine Bluff — was found in the parking lot of Kibb's BBQ on South Blake Street around 4 a.m. by a person opening the business, according to a police spokesman.
Lampkin was sitting in the driver's seat of a pickup and had been shot, the spokesman said.
It is the 4th homicide investigated in Pine Bluff this year.
Police have not made any arrests, and do not have a suspect or a motive.
