Allen Lee Lampkin, 49, of Pine Bluff died of gunshot wounds, according to a news release from Lt. David E. DeFoor.

Police responded at about 4:05 a.m. after receiving a call from someone who saw Lampkin's body in the vehicle, the release said.

Lampkin's death is the fourth homicide this year in Pine Bluff. Police said they have no suspect or motive. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call (870) 730-2090 or the dispatch center at (870) 541-5300.

Tameka Hopkins has worked at the restaurant for the past 11 years. She said typically most employees arrive around 10 a.m. and that the restaurant is open until midnight. Hopkins said a member of Lampkin's family came by Monday to see if any workers had any information regarding the shooting.

Hopkins said she graduated from Pine Bluff High School with Lampkin's son, Calvin Lampkin, and that he was killed last year during a robbery in Pine Bluff.

A lifetime resident of Pine Bluff, Hopkins said she has become so frustrated with crime in the city that she wants to move. She said last year a man pulled a gun on another man after coming to the restaurant from a nightclub next door.

"All we have in Pine Bluff is churches, liquor stores and funeral homes," Hopkins said. "So all you are going to do here is pray, drink and die."
