A&E Studios, in association with actor Jeremy Renner's The Combine and Midnight Radio, will premiere the new 10-episode drama series Knightfall at 9 p.m. Wednesday on the History Channel. The show attempts to take viewers inside the medieval politics and warfare of the Knights Templar, a powerful, wealthy and mysterious military order of the Middle Ages who were entrusted with protecting Christianity's most precious relics.
It takes us from battles in the Holy Land and clashes with the King of France, to a betrayal that would ultimately lead to their dissolution on Friday the 13th. Knightfall looks inside that world to show who the knights were, how they lived and what they died believing.
