Shot fired into home hits Little Rock mom in thigh

A 37-year-old woman was injured in a drive-by shooting in Little Rock early Saturday, police said.

Shortly before 3:10 a.m., a vehicle pulled up and fired at a home in the 6600 block of East Wakefield Drive, said officer Steve Moore, a spokesman for the Little Rock Police Department.

One bullet hit Brandi Holmes, who was inside the home with her three teenage children, police said. Holmes was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound in her thigh that authorities said did not appear to be life-threatening.

None of Holmes' children were reported injured in the shooting.

Police did not have any information about the vehicle or shooter Saturday.

The investigation is ongoing.
