Getting Out of the Boxes

Local Entrepreneurship Panel Discussion

RUSSELLVILLE — In recognition of Global Entrepreneur Week, Arkansas Tech University will host a panel discussion about the entrepreneurial ecosystem at 10 a.m. in the W.O. UCA University Chorus Concert

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas University Chorus, under the direction of Sheri Cook-Cunningham, will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. in UCA’s Snow Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. The VOCA (Voices of Central Arkansas) High School Choir will join with the University Chorus to sing several tunes, and four student conductors will direct selections. A Charlie Brown Christmas

CONWAY — A Charlie Brown Christmas will visit the University of Central Arkansas’ Reynolds Performance Hall at 7:30 p.m. There are currently very few tickets available. This live show features the Vince Guaraldi score performed onstage by a jazz trio. Following the 80-minute show, the audience will be encouraged to join the cast in a holiday singalong. Blue Ribbon Beauties Exhibit

FAIRFIELD BAY — The Fairfield Bay Community Education Center will present the Blue Ribbon Beauties exhibit from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Nov. 24. This is an exhibit of the blue-ribbon-awarded photography and written stories from the 2017 Van Buren County Fair submitted by Education Center photographers and writers. Master Naturalists Classes

CLINTON — Training for the 2018 class of the Foothills Arkansas Master Naturalists Chapter will begin in January. Humane Society Benefit Bingo

Yoga Class at the Library

Turkey Trot 5K

CONWAY — The United Way of Central Arkansas will present its third annual Turkey Trot 5K, a family fun run and walk, on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23. The race will start at 8:30 a.m. at Centennial Valley Country Club, 1600 Centennial Club Drive. Basic Trout Fishing Clinic

RUSSELLVILLE — A Basic Trout Fishing Clinic has been set for 6-7 p.m. Nov. 28 at the Hughes Community Center in conjunction with Trout Day 2017. The clinic is free, and a certificate for a free rod and reel will be given to the first 50 kids 15 and younger who attend the clinic. Trout Day 2017

RUSSELLVILLE — The Caddis Fly Fishing Club, the Russellville Recreation and Parks Department and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission are bringing seasonal trout fishing to Russellville. The AGFC will stock Pleasant View Park pond with 1,200 rainbow trout, and Trout Day 2017 will be take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Dec. 2. Both bait fishing and fly-fishing will be available, and bait will be provided. A fishing license and trout permit (stamp) are required for people 16 and older. Conway Regional Tribute Tree Lighting

CONWAY — The Conway Regional Tribute Tree lighting event will begin at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 30 by the fountain at the east entrance of Conway Regional Medical Center. The lights will be lit at 6 p.m. The event will feature holiday music, selfies with Santa and his elves, hot chocolate and treats for the kids. The Conway Regional Gift Shop will be open. The Tribute Tree funds scholarships for students who plan to work in the health care field. Tributes and donations will be accepted through December.
