Rogers High’s Madison McCarty signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Graceland University in a ceremony Friday afternoon in the commons area of the high school.

Mounties coach Christina Lawrence said McCarty, who played on the right side and some back-row, said the senior brings a great attitude and work ethic to the NAIA school in Lamoni, Iowa.

“She has gotten better as an attacker, but I think the most of what she will contribute is a great teammate,” Lawrence said. “She will always encourage and I think in an a collegiate program and a team environment, those players are very, very important. Her serve was great this year. I don’t think she’s reached her maximum potential yet.”
