Break-in reported at west Little Rock restaurant

by Brandon Riddle | October 10, 2017 at 2:17 p.m.

A thief broke into a west Little Rock restaurant early Tuesday but was unable to leave with anything valuable, a co-owner told police.

Officers with the Little Rock Police Department responded around 2:30 a.m. to an alarm call at Izzy’s, 5601 Ranch Drive, according to a report.

A 59-year-old co-owner told police that the restaurant’s patio door had been broken as well as an office door.

The interior door to the office was opened using “brute force,” the report noted. It was not immediately clear what object was used to gain entry through the exterior door.

The 59-year-old said that nothing of value appeared to have been stolen in the break-in.

Officers requested surveillance footage from several cameras positioned inside the restaurant.

No suspects were named, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
