Little Rock native named to Billboard list of music industry power players

A Little Rock native has been named one of the music industry's most influential agents, according to a Thursday news release.

Jeffrey Hasson, 34, was featured on Billboard's 40 under 40: Music's Top Young Power Players, a list of executives and agents that was released Friday.

Hasson is an agent with Paradigm Talent Agency and has worked with artists such as Blues Traveler, Young the Giant, Jamey Johnson and Ben Folds.

The release states that Hasson, 34, graduated from Pulaski Academy and now lives in Nashville, Tenn., with his wife and three sons.

Hasson help alt-rock band Young the Giant go from "gigging at 200-capacity clubs" to "headlining festivals and playing iconic amphitheaters" such as Red Rocks in Colorado, according to Billboard.

"We've been able to constantly put the band in positions to keep growing," Hasson told the company.

He also reportedly collaborated on a way to give Ben Folds fans what they wanted from a concert: writing song requests on paper airplanes that would glide to stage.
