A 22-year-old man was stabbed several times during an argument at a Little Rock apartment complex Friday, police said.
Little Rock police responded to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary shortly after 7:30 p.m. Friday, according to a report. There, a 19-year-old woman told officers that she was picking up her boyfriend, Dominick Trotter, from Patrick Place Apartments at 1616 N. Bryant St. when she saw him arguing with a man identified in the report as "Galen."
When the teen got out of the car, the man ran back to his apartment complex down the street and returned with two knives, the report states.
The man began to swing at Trotter, she told officers, cutting his arms. According to the report, the woman tried to get in between them. Then Trotter ran toward their apartment, and the man began to swing at her with the knives, she said, cutting her hand.
Trotter screamed, prompting the man to chase him up the stairs toward him and out of her view, the woman told police. Then, she said, she saw the man run toward The Villas complex at 1610 N. Bryant St.
Officers noted that Trotter had been stabbed several times in the upper back and that his left lung had been punctured, requiring his breathing to be assisted. He was said to be in stable condition at the time of the report.
The attacker was described in the report as a black male standing 5 feet and 9 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and having a medium complexion and black hair in a short afro style.
No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
