Surrounded by the memorabilia of Arkansas' historic sports figures, the 2018 inductees to the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame enjoyed a night at the museum April 5. A Night of the Stars, a VIP reception for inductees and their friends and families, sponsors and board members, was held at the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame Museum at Verizon Arena, the day before the induction banquet.
Greeting partygoers were the Hall of Fame's executive director and member Terri Conder Johnson. Guests, which included hall members and board members, enjoyed drinks and a buffet while viewing the exhibits and mingling with the new inductees.
Inducted into the Hall of Fame the next evening on April 6 were Shawn Andrews, Jerry Eckwood, Oliver Elder, John Hutchcraft, Brison Manor, Jerry Muckensturm, Kevin Scanlon, Bettye Wallace and Dean Weber.
