Threats at Goodwill lead to arrest in LR

A Little Rock man walked into a Goodwill store with a weapon Tuesday and threatened to "shoot the place," according to police reports.

Police officers arrested Lucious L. Spiller, 31, on charges of terroristic threatening, carrying a prohibited weapon and carrying a weapon Tuesday after witnesses in the Goodwill outlet on Scott Hamilton Drive told police about his threat, officers reported.

Officers transported Spiller to the Pulaski County jail, where he remained Wednesday in lieu of $5,000 bond.

Wife says husband put gun to her head

An Arkadelphia man held a gun to his wife's head Monday afternoon and told her if she left, he would kill her, according to a police report.

Officers responded to a disturbance call at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday at 9824 Chicot Drive and found a woman in a vehicle who "appeared to be very upset and scared," according to police.

The woman's husband, John Ross McKinney, 52, was in the passenger seat, but once officers separated the two, she told police he had threatened to kill her, officers reported.

Officers arrested McKinney on charges of possession of a firearm by certain persons and aggravated assault on a family or household member.

McKinney was taken to the Pulaski County jail where he remained as of Wednesday evening in lieu of $20,000 bond.
