Bentonville West 59, Subiaco Academy 53
Dawson Bailey had 19 points as West picked up its first win of the season, defeating Subiaco during Wednesday's opening round of the Cyclone Classic in Russellville.
The Wolverines (1-3) led 20-19 at halftime, then extended their cushion to a 40-37 margin after three quarters.
West returns to action at 7 p.m. today with a semifinal game against Sylvan Hills, which defeated Greenwood 72-48.
Western Grove 65, Lead Hill 39
The Warriors outscored Lead Hill 21-6 in the second quarter and rolled to the big win.
Carsen Parker led three Western Grove players in double figures with a team-high 18. Gage Freeman added 13 and Hunter Baker 11 for the Warriors (12-4, 5-3 1A-2). Brad Norman led all scorers with 20 points for Lead Hill, which led 12-9 after a quarter but trailed 30-18 at halftime.
Clarksville 49, Pottsville 47
The Panthers built a 38-33 lead after three quarters and held off Pottsville to earn the win.
Bob Hurley led Clarksville with 14 points, while Trace Thomas added 11 points and seven rebounds. Thomas also surpassed 1,000 career points.
The New School 74, Kingston 68
The Cougars rallied from a 10-point third-quarter deficit to win their 1A-1 opener and remain undefeated on Tuesday night.
Chase Ammons poured in a team-high 28 points for The New School (15-0), which trailed by five entering the fourth quarter.
Jan Sturner added 22 and Arthur Cox 16 for the Cougars.
Elkins 66, Gentry 34
Chad Graham scored 24 points as Elkins improved to 9-0 with a victory over Gentry.
Paxton Barnett added 14 points and Kain Johnson 10 for Elkins, which jumped to a 22-5 lead in the first quarter. Dylan Kilgore scored 14 points to lead Gentry (4-3).
Subiaco Academy 44, Dardanelle 38
James Taylor scored 14 points to lead Subiaco Academy, which outscored the Sand Lizards 7-0 in the second quarter.
Deer 53, Jasper 45
Johnny Smith had 19 points to lead a trio of Deer players in double figures as the Antlers defeated Jasper in a 1A-1 Conference game at Deer.
Caden Young added 16 points and Avery Young 13 for Deer, which led 12-6 after one quarter and 28-22 at halftime. Caleb Carter had 16 and Chance Pruitt 13 for Jasper (11-4, 1-1), which had a six-game winning streak snapped.
Mountainburg 63, Greenland 55
Mountainburg outscored Greenland 25-10 in the second quarter and went on to defeat the Pirates in nonconference action.
Sean Irvan had 28 points to pace Mountainburg while Ethan Gregory added 12. Carter Gobel led four Greenland players in double figures with 18 points, followed by Kole Rector and Caleb White with 12 apiece and Luke Osburn with 10. Osburn just missed a double-double with nine rebounds.
Eureka Springs 64, Yellville-Summitt 41
The Highlanders pounded Yellville-Summit as four players scored in double-figures.
Garrett Cross led the way for Eureka Springs (13-3) with 14 points. Griffin Taylor scored 13, Matthew Lester 12 and Carter Drennon 10.
Ben Riddle scored 20 for Yellville-Summit.
The Highlanders will travel to Flippin on Friday.
Haas Hall-Fayetteville 49, Decatur 45
The Mastiffs (1-7) won their first game of the season as Jack Wisdom scored a game-high 18 points.
Ryan Ross scored 16 and Kevin Garcia 10 for Decatur.
Blue Eye, Mo. 58, Berryville 44
The Bobcats fell in the first-round of the Blue Eye, Mo., Tournament.
Three players scored in double figures for Blue Eye.
Zach Webb scored 2o for Berryville and Kyler Kendrick added 10.
West Fork 52, Omaha 47
West Fork bolted out to a 16-7 lead but had to outscore Omaha 15-11 in the fourth quarter to secure a win in the Green Forest Holiday Tournament.
Brenon Burks had 16 points and Wyett Kutz 12 for West Fork. Hunter Isbell had 17 to lead Omaha, who cut the Tigers' cushion to 25-20 at halftime and 37-36 after three quarters, while Austin Isbell added 12 and Dillon Gant 10.

Berryville 73, Blue Eye, Mo. 53
The Lady Bobcats opened play in the Blue Eye, Mo., Tournament with a 20-point win as three players scored in double figures.
Kelcee Hopper led the way for Berryville with 21 points. Baylea Smith and Hannah Morrell each scored 14 for the Lady Bobcats.
Greenland 48, Mountainburg 45
Alexis Thomas' rebound and putback with 12 seconds remaining gave Greenland the lead in a close nonconference game against Mountainburg.
The Lady Pirates (4-4) trailed 45-44 when Fiona Wilson drove to the basket and missed. Thomas, who didn't play until the final 2 minutes, then grabbed the rebound and scored.
Mountainburg had a chance to win the game as the Lady Dragons broke through the press and Madelyn Beasley was fouled with 3.9 seconds remaining. Beasley, however, missed both free throws -- the second after Greenland coach Alan Barton called a timeout -- then Destiny Jackson was fouled and hit both free throws to end the scoring.
Wilson had 30 points for the Lady Pirates, while Beasley led Mountainburg with 22.
Clarksville 61, Pottsville 36
Autumn Miller had 15 points to lead four Clarksville players in double figures as the Lady Panthers opened 4A-4 Conference play with a home victory over Pottsville.
Kyerra Cowell added 14 points for Clarksville (7-2, 1-0), which led 25-12 at halftime and 44-22 through three quarters. Zoe Harvey and Emmaline Rieder added 13 apiece for the Lady Panthers.
Prairie Grove 40, Lincoln 33
Emily Grant scored 19 points to lead Prairie Grove past Lincoln.
Lexie Madewell added nine points and four rebounds for the Lady Tigers (4-2). Averi Massey scored 10 points to lead the Lady Wolves (7-3).
Charleston 51, Mansfield 22
Charleston led 15-1 after one quarter and cruised to a win over Mansfield in 3A-1 West Conference action.
Payton Rucker had 14 points and Rylee Merechka 10 for Charleston (8-0), which led 29-9 at halftime and 46-12 after three quarters.
Jasper 57, Deer 37
Sierra Johnson had 21 points to lead Jasper to a 1A-1 Conference victory Tuesday at Deer.
Taylor Davidson added 18 for the Lady Pirates (11-1, 2-0), while Bailey Gilmore had 11 for Deer.
Wyandotte, Okla. 48, Gravette 44
The Lady Lions were outscored 16-11 in the fourth quarter in the Adair, Okla., Tournament.
Shylee Morrison led Gravette (1-3) with 12 points and Jessica Bookout added 9.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL
Bray earns All-America honors
Harding's Bryce Bray, a Rogers High graduate, was named first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association.
Bray, a 6-foot-, 260-pound center helped lead Harding to a 9-3 finish and is a four-year starter. He set a school record with 50 career games started.
He was also named to the D2CCA All-Super Region 3 team, which were released on Friday. Bray is a three-time All-Super Region 3 honoree. He joined Ross Conn (2006-08) as the only Harding players to earn that honor three times.
