PREP BASKETBALL Harrison uses 3-point shooting to blast Shiloh Christian

SPRINGDALE -- Harrison held a 3-point shooting party on Tuesday and everyone contributed.

Well, nearly everyone.

Six players made 3-pointers as the Lady Goblins built a big halftime lead and rolled to 56-23 victory over the Lady Saints in 4A-1 Conference play. Four players contributed 3-pointers in the first half when Harrison led 30-13.

Harrison added three more 3-pointers in the third quarter and finished with 13 3-pointers for the game. Six of the nine players who scored for the Lady Goblins made at least one 3-pointer.

"We did shoot it very well tonight and we have kids who have that ability," Harrison coach Doug Young said. "When they're all hitting, it's pretty fun to watch."

Brylie Parker made four 3-pointers and led all scorers with 16 points. Sydney Shrum and MacKenzie Dillon both added three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points each.

Carley Johnson scored seven points to lead Shiloh Christian, which managed only nine baskets for the game.

Harrison (8-2. 2-0) was hot from the outset when Parker made two 3-pointers and Sydney Shrum had one to help the Lady Goblins to an 11-0 lead. Parker then added two more 3s to give Harrison a 19-7 lead after one quarter.

"We got off to a good start and that's what you have to do in this league, especially on the road," Young said.

Shiloh Christian (4-8, 0-1) gained a little momentum following baskets by Shea Sandefur to cut its deficit to 19-11. But Harrison regained control when Makayla Campbell, Shrum, and MacKenzie Dillon ended the first half with 3-pointers to give the Lady Goblins a 30-11 lead after three quarters.
