Pianist David Glaze, soprano Mary Ann Robinson and oboist Beth Wheeler will offer a "Christmas Gift" concert, 5 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 4501 Rahling Road, Little Rock. The program includes "Love Came Down at Christmas," "The Holly and the Ivy," "O Come All Ye Faithful," "O Little Town of Bethlehem" and "Silent Night"; John Rutter carols; and Camille Saint-Saens' "Ave Maria." The classic Christmas story gets a new high-flying spin in The Nutcracker Circus, 7 p.m. Saturday at the Maumelle Performing Arts Center, 100 Victory Lane, Maumelle. Acrobats, aerialists, stilt walkers and other students and performers with Arkansas Circus Arts will perform the story of young Clara's dream journey. Those who like a few frights with their Christmas cheer can find it at the Not-Quite-Holiday Film Fest at the Ron Robinson Theater, 100 River Market Ave., Little Rock. The William F. Laman Library's Argenta Branch, 420 Main St., North Little Rock, celebrates the opening of "Winter Heart," a new exhibit of mixed-media works by Sharon Bowers and Meikel Church, with a reception, 5-8 p.m. Friday. 7 SOLSTICE

Observe the longest night of the year and learn how the prehistoric people of central Arkansas marked the occasion at the Winter Solstice Celebration, 3:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday. Park interpreters at the Toltec Mounds Archeological State Park, 490 Toltec Mounds Road, Scott, will lead visitors on a guided tour of the mound sites. 8 SPARKLE

This weekend marks the last chance to check out some very festive dinosaurs in Dino-Lites. The Mid-America Science Museum's DinoTrek outdoor exhibit has been decorated for Christmas and the last night for public viewing is 5-7 p.m. Friday. 9 SHINE

Garvan Woodland Gardens, 550 Arkridge Road, Hot Springs, is blazing with Christmas cheer during the annual Holiday Lights event, 5-9 p.m. daily through Dec. 31. Over 18 acres, special light displays such as the Rose Tree, the ice dandelion meadow and the ice palace give visitors plenty to enjoy. There's also free hot chocolate at the Hot Chocolate tent. 10 SHIMMER

The Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources, 3853 Arkansas 7, Smackover, sparkles with more than 300,000 lights during its Holiday Light Extravaganza, 5:30-8 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
