Man arrested after multiple shots fired near central Arkansas bar

A North Little Rock man was arrested Christmas morning after firing multiple shots near a bar, according to an arrest report.

Lemuel Lee Sanders, 27, was arrested just after midnight after patrons of the Tailgaters bar in Sherwood reported hearing the shots, an arrest report said.

Patrons told officers that the shots came from the area where Sanders was standing, and police reported finding multiple shell casings near Sanders' vehicle. Officers said Sanders, of North Little Rock, appeared to be intoxicated and had a loaded rifle in the trunk of his vehicle.

Officers arrested Sanders on charges of public intoxication and aggravated assault, and they transported him to the Pulaski County jail, where he remained Tuesday evening in lieu of bond.
