CARNIVAL MEET CABARET: Good times roll on for theater benefit

Carnival Cabaret, a fundraiser for The Weekend Theater with a Mardi Gras theme, was held Feb. 2 at the theater.

Before the show, guests could participate in an art auction and raffle while enjoying drinks and New Orleans-inspired snacks including muffulettas and king cake. Headlining the evening's entertainment was the burlesque troupe Foul Play Cabaret from Hot Springs. Kayla Esmond served as master of ceremonies for the program, which also included singing, dancing and comedy.

The nonprofit community theater also announced its summer musicals for this year. They will be Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, which will start June 14, and Bare, which will begin July 27. Zac Powers served as event chairman.
