The Disney Channel has jumped on the zombie bandwagon with the premiere of Zombies, an original movie "for kids and 'tweens." The music-and-dance-filled production airs at 7 p.m. Friday.
Addison (Meg Donnelly, American Housewife) is a teenage girl who lives in the cookie-cutter community of Seabrook. Fifty years after a zombie apocalypse, the town is a happy, perky place. The zombies, who now pose no threat, are required to live in Zombietown -- an isolated run-down community brimming with a unique, creative spirit.
When the zombies are finally allowed to enroll in Seabrook High School, their lives will forever be changed. So will the lives of aspiring cheerleader Addison and charming zombie, Zed (Milo Manheim), who is determined to play football.
Maybe "zombies and cheerleaders aren't so different after all."
