One person has been arrested in the burglary of a Little Rock law office early Sunday, police said.

The break-in happened shortly before 4:30 a.m. at the Keech Law Firm at 2011 S. Broadway, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

A 64-year-old witness told officers he saw the intruder leave the office with several bags and then run south through an alley.

Officers searching the area found 52-year-old Claude Finley running west in the 2300 block of Arch Street, the report said, noting he continued to flee despite officers ordering him to stop. He was caught a short time later in the backyard of a home in the 600 block of West 23rd Street.

Finley suffered a minor head injury as a result of resisting arrest, police said.

Authorities reported damage to the second-floor door on the east side of the firm. It appeared that the door had been kicked in.

The law firm's owner reported some petty cash, a credit card and a check were taken from the office, the report said. During a search, a glass pipe was recovered from Finley’s jacket, the report said.

Finley was booked into the Pulaski County jail on charges of commercial burglary, theft of property, fleeing, refusal to submit to arrest and possession of an instrument of a crime.

He remained in custody there on Monday in lieu of $30,000 bond, records show.
