CONWAY — Greenbrier residents on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved a three-part sales-tax measure aimed at fire-department renovations and park development, according to complete but unofficial returns.
The tax will temporarily increase by a 0.5 percentage point to a total local sales tax of 2.5 percent. All but one-eighth of a percentage point will end once the accompanying bonds are paid off.
Greenbrier is in Faulkner County and lies about 12 miles northeast of Conway.
