Husband hit her, tried to snatch wedding ring, Arkansas woman tells police

Police arrested an Arkansas man Monday after he was accused of hitting his wife and trying to remove her wedding ring, the Hot Springs Sentinel-Record reported.

The victim reportedly told police Feb. 6. that Moses Lamar Stevenson, 31, was driving near the intersection of West Grand and Central avenues in Hot Springs when he struck her in the face, then tried to take the ring.

Police noted that the woman had a small cut on her upper lip and "purple discoloration" on her left ring finger, according to the newspaper.

Stevenson was charged with third-degree domestic battery and had been released from the Garland County jail as of Wednesday afternoon, records show.
