Police: In Little Rock home invasion, gunman breaks into room with children inside, later fires shots

An intruder broke into a Little Rock home through a window Thursday night and stole money and personal documents, victims told police.

Officers responded to a home in the 300 block of South Oak Street about 11:50 p.m., where a 17-year-old girl said she was in her mother's room with her 8-year-old brother and 4-year-old sister when she heard a loud banging noise at the window, according to a report.

The girl said the window busted out and a male stranger fell into the room, so she grabbed her siblings and ran out of the home, hearing gunshots behind her, she told police.

The intruder left with her purse, which contained $40 in cash as well as credit and debit cards and car keys, according to the report.
