A Little Rock man is accused of attacking his pregnant girlfriend during an argument in which he accused her of seeing another man, police said.

Daniel Jamal Jackson, 22, was arrested around 3:25 p.m. Sunday on an enhanced charge of third-degree domestic battery, records show.

Jackson saw footprints in a muddy area that were not his and accused the victim of seeing her estranged husband, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

Police said Jackson then placed the woman, who is 12 weeks pregnant, into a headlock and punched her in the face several times, causing injuries.

Jackson remained at the Pulaski County jail as of Monday morning and bail had not been set, according to an online inmate roster. He has a court appearance set for March 2.
