Arkansas-based Deltic Timber completes merger with Potlatch

El Dorado-based Deltic Timber Corp.'s merger with Potlatch Corp. closed on Tuesday, the company reported on its website.

The all-stock deal creates a combined company controlling about 2 million acres of timber in the southern U.S., Idaho and Minnesota.

The name of the merged company is Potlatch-Deltic Corp. The company employs more than 1,500 people and controls both manufacturing and timberland portfolios.

The combined company is based in Spokane, Wash., and Deltic’s El Dorado operation is now PotlatchDeltic’s Southern operational headquarters.
