A man's injuries from a Little Rock shooting Thursday afternoon will require the amputation of one of his feet, police said.
The shooting happened around 3:53 p.m. in the 1300 block of Adams Street, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.
A caller said she heard the shots and witnessed a group of people running from the area of 13th and Adams streets near a bus stop. There, police were reportedly unable to find a victim or crime scene.
After receiving another call, officers later found the victim, 42-year-old Teli Clark of Little Rock, at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock.
Clark told officers he was walking near the intersection of 12th and Adams streets when a blue Pontiac Bonneville drove up to him. Occupants inside then yelled before the 42-year-old heard multiple gunshots, according to authorities.
As Clark ran, he was struck in his left foot and suffered a “large hole” in his foot, officers noted. Doctors reportedly told police that his foot "would be amputated."
No suspects were named, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
