Erin McCarthy Taylor

Where I live: My home is in beautiful Pleasant Valley in west Little Rock. It's diverse in community and just fantastic to run or walk around. My husband, Gary, and I have lived here since the summer of 2000 when we moved to Little Rock from Fayetteville, and our four amazing children grew up in this home.

Occupation: I own a consulting firm, Taylor'd Marketing. I also own Go! Running in the Heights, a community walking/running store, with my husband. I get to live out both my passions: being able to help clients share their stories and then helping others live a healthy and happy life.

My favorite space is: My screened-in porch.

Why? I am by nature an outdoor person, often feeling more at home outside than in. I can think more clearly hearing the birds and smelling the air of the changing seasons. I just put out a handmade wind chime from my hometown in New York, and it sounds like church bells. I have a big open floor area where I can spread out and play with my new grandson, Brady. There's a series of stained glass that Gary and I refinished that casts some amazing colors.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Buy some really comfy and colorful outdoor furniture with amazing cozy cushions! Anything comfy and cozy would soon be my little dog Milo's favorite new space. And you know what? I think I could happily live with that.
