I-40 lane to close four days for work

Work on a $100.5 million project to replace a bridge over the White River on Interstate 40 in Prairie County will require overnight lane closings for four nights beginning Monday, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.

The work will require the outside westbound lane near the White River Tourism Information Center to be closed from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily through Friday, weather permitting.

Traffic will be controlled with signs and traffic drums, the department said.
