MEDICINE MEN (AND WOMEN)

Southern hospitality prescribed at Oxford American fundraiser

A group of Little Rock doctors prescribed a night of Music & Medicine on June 18 at South on Main to raise money for Oxford American magazine.

The evening began with cocktails and some of the restaurant's delicious appetizers including boudin balls, pimento cheese toast, chicken and waffle bites and hot links with mustard. The Huntertones, a band from Brooklyn, N.Y., provided the music.

Doctors and their partners hosting the fundraiser were Dr. Susan Barr, Shannon and Dr. David Shenker, Drs. Catherine and Whit Robben, Allison and Dr. Byron Wilkes, Tim Jones and Dr. Jerri Hoskyn, Drs. Julie and John Goodwin and Anna and Dr. Aaron Strong.

Oxford American is an award winning nonprofit literary magazine that explores Southern culture and is published quarterly.
