'AK-47-style weapon' used in drive-by shooting in Little Rock, authorities say; 2 homes hit

A weapon similar to an AK-47 was used during a drive-by shooting in Little Rock on Saturday, police say, but no injuries were reported.

Officers responded shortly after 5:45 p.m. to gunfire in the 1400 block of Wolfe Street near Daisy Bates Drive, according to a report.

Witnesses told authorities that two people in a blue four-door sedan with a tall spoiler and a Nevada license plate drove past the house firing an "AK-47-style weapon."

The report states that two 41-year-old men, two 18-year-old women and a 19-year-old woman were in the residence at the time of the shooting.

The homeowner told police recent Facebook posts led him to a possible suspect.

A 47-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman also reported that they were fired upon while inside a neighboring home, police said.

The Little Rock man listed as a suspect on the report did not appear on the Pulaski County jail's online inmate roster as of Monday afternoon.
