Authorities say they have arrested a central Arkansas driver who crashed into a parked ambulance, injuring two children in her vehicle.

Valencia Coleman, 37, of Sherwood was taken into custody at 3 a.m. Friday on two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, one count of reckless driving and one count of first-degree DWI, according to a report from the Pulaski County sheriff's office.

Authorities said they found her behind the wheel of a vehicle that had collided with an ambulance that had its "emergency equipment operating" and was parked near Interstate 30 at Broadway in North Little Rock.

Two children, whose names and ages were not released, were injured in the wreck, according to the report.

She reportedly smelled of alcohol but refused to take a breathalyzer test. The report notes she told authorities she had been drinking earlier.

Records show she remained at the Pulaski County jail later Friday, and no bail had been set. Coleman is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 21.
