SOULFUL SOIREE: LaVette concert's VIP guests enjoy reception before show

VIP ticketholders going to see Bettye LaVette on July 14 enjoyed a reception before the concert. The legendary soul singer, along with opening act LaLa Craig, were playing at the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College Center for Humanities and Arts in North Little Rock.

The VIP room was centered with a circular bar and filled with lounge seating and tables. Along with drinks, guests enjoyed a buffet filled with appetizers made by chef Shane Henderson with Ben E. Keith Foods, the VIP room sponsor.

In addition to having private parking, VIPs had their own entrance to reserved seating for the show. The 72-year-old LaVette performed songs -- all written by Bob Dylan -- from her latest album Things Have Changed.
