Fun and games: Access in Action sponsors Bingo Bash fundraiser

The first player to yell Bingo! in any of 10 games on July 19 at the 12th annual Bingo Bash won a large prize package. The event, hosted by Access in Action, was a fundraiser for Access schools.

Each game had a different requirement to win and a different prize package. The prize package for the first game -- the winner had to make a line from the top to bottom of the bingo card -- included classes at ZenStudio Fitness, artwork, hair products, a $50 gift certificate to Burge's Hickory Smoked Turkeys & Hams, a leather bag from Dillard's and a silver chain necklace.

The evening also included a fried-catfish dinner with all the sides and a raffle with a chance to win a private box at Oaklawn Racing and Gaming, a PK Grill and Smoker or a weekend getaway to the White River.

Serving as event chairmen were Frances and David Mitchell. Access offers education, therapy, training and activities for children and teens with learning disabilities.
