The Root Cafe was the setting July 15 for the Quapaw Quarter Association Summer Suppers: Urban Dining in SOMA.
A portion of the proceeds from the five-course meal with wine pairings benefited the association.
Guests enjoyed an appetizer; a salad of arugula with peaches, farmer's cheese and candied pecans; a chilled green tomato and cucumber gazpacho; and a sirloin steak served with herb smashed potatoes and grilled summer vegetables. For dessert, guests were served panna cotta with seasonal fruit and granola.
