17 bottles of liquor, thousands in cash reported stolen from Little Rock liquor store

Burglars stole hundreds of dollars worth of liquor and thousands in cash during a break-in at a Little Rock liquor store over the weekend, authorities said.

Surveillance footage from the scene shows two males using a crowbar to break into 501 Wine and Spirits, 13115 Otter Creek Road, just after 3 a.m. Friday, according to a Little Rock police report.

Officers said the thieves used the crowbar again to break into an office, where they stole more than $11,000. Police wrote that $6,000 was the property of the 36-year-old owner, and the remaining $5,221 belonged to the business.

The pair left the store with the money in an unknown vehicle and returned around 3:45 a.m., the report states. During the second visit, they reportedly took two pistols totaling more than $300 and multiple bottles of liquor worth nearly $700, which they carried to their car in a trash can.

The liquor reported stolen included one bottle of Patron tequila, Don Juan tequila, Beefeater gin, Tito's vodka and 11 bottles of Ciroc vodka, according to the report.

When authorities responded later that day, the owner told officers that a theft had occurred at the business before, and the 36-year-old suspect in that instance looked like one of the burglars and wore the same shoes.

The report describes the burglars as black men in their late 20s or early 30s who stand 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weigh about 140 pounds and were wearing black hoodies, black plants and black shoes.

No suspects had been named, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Earlier Friday, Little Rock police responded to a burglary alarm at another liquor store.

According to a separate report, officers were sent at 2 a.m. to Rock Creek Wine and Spirits at 10912 Colonel Glenn Road.

Police said they could not determine if anything was stolen or if the burglaries were related.
