A truck wreck Wednesday afternoon at a busy interstate interchange in Little Rock is expected to take several hours to be cleared, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said on Wednesday.

The tractor-trailer crashed down an embankment off the ramp that carries the westbound Interstate 30 frontage road across Interstate 430, blocking a lane of traffic and backing up vehicles in the area. It wasn't immediately clear if anyone was hurt.

The crash scene is blocking direct access from westbound I-30 to the Outlets of Little Rock and Bass Pro Shops. Motorists were advised to exit onto northbound I-430, turn around at Stagecoach Road and then take I-430 south to the outlet mall exit.

The highway agency said on Twitter that it may take until 10 p.m. for the truck to be removed from the embankment,

The Arkansas Online live traffic map at 3:20 p.m. showed a significant backup in both directions of I-430 and onto I-30.
