A Little Rock man came up $1 short and was eliminated from Jeopardy! after winning the trivia game show the previous day.

In an episode that aired Wednesday morning, Andrew King's knowledge of federal court cases, heroes and math words was not enough to defeat the eventual winner, Scott McFadden. The librarian from Muncie, Ind., excelled at questions about poetry, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the 60s.

The Arkansas lawyer, who works on the national consumer protection defense team for the Kutak Rock firm, went into Final Jeopardy in second place with $13,000, trailing the leader by about $3,000.

King bet his entire sum on the last question, which asked contestants to name the sporting event first held in 1934 that includes play in areas named Pink Dogwood, Flowering Peach and Azalea.

He correctly answered the Masters for a total of $26,000, but McFadden wagered just enough to beat the Arkansan by $1.

In Little Rock, Jeopardy! airs at 11 a.m. weekdays on Channel 7, KATV.
