Fantastic China Chinese Cuisine restaurant, a fixture in Little Rock's Heights neighborhood for more than 22 years, is under new ownership.

The previous owner, Kavion Wang, said Wednesday that she will remain for now at the restaurant at 1900 N. Grant St. to help with the transition to the new ownership.

Fantastic China becomes part of a consortium of restaurants that also includes Fu Lin Chinese Restaurant at 200 N. Bowman Road and Mr. Chen's Authentic Chinese Cooking at 3901 S. University Ave., according to Wang.

The restaurant sale closed last month, Wang said. The menu and decor that helped make the restaurant among the most popular Chinese restaurants in annual reader polls won't change, she said.

Wang said she was ready to slow down, adding that she worked seven days a week to run the restaurant, which got to be "too much" for her.

The sale will give her more time to devote to writing and to "playing my guitar," she said.
