The Sky Terrace of the Clinton Presidential Center was the setting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, for the marriage of Alexander Justiss and Matthew Jacob Strauss. Little Rock Vice-Mayor Kathy Webb officiated.

Justiss is the son of Rebecca and Allen McDowell of Little Rock.

Strauss is the son of Cindy Jean and Scott Michael Strauss of Little Rock and the grandson of the late Hazel and Jake Murph of Oppelo and the late Joan Downey and the late Edwin Strauss, both of Malvern.

Nuptial music was by violinist Andrew Irvin, concertmaster chair of Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

Both grooms wore tuxedos designed by Sean Cullers of Little Rock-based Strong Suit Clothing.

A reception in the Clinton Center's Great Hall came after the ceremony. The hall was decorated with Art Deco elements in black, white and gold. Guest table decorations were vintage game pieces including antique French dice cup shakers, Flinch cards, Mahjong tiles and billiards pieces. Music was by the Memphis Soul Revue.

Justiss graduated cum laude from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, with a bachelor's degree in psychology and graduated cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law with a law degree. He is a lawyer and partner at Kutak Rock LLP.

Strauss is a graduate of UALR with a bachelor's degree in computer science. He is a web developer at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

After a wedding trip to Tokyo, the couple will make their home in Little Rock.
