A North Little Rock woman is accused of leaving four children under age 8 in a hot vehicle Saturday, police say.

About 1:15 p.m., an officer located a silver SUV in the parking lot of the Walmart at 4450 E. McCain Blvd. after hearing children's voices, according to a report.

Four small children were inside the Toyota Sequoia, which had its windows cracked, police said. The vehicle was not running and there were no keys inside, the report states.

Two of the children, boys ages 8 and 6, reportedly informed the officer that their mother was inside the store buying Lunchables.

Police noted that the outdoor temperature was 80 degrees, making it close to 100 degrees inside the vehicle. Two smaller children were asleep in car seats, so the officer asked the boys to unlock the SUV to check on them, according to the report.

The two younger children — a 1-year-old girl and a 1-month old girl — were both "sweaty and clammy," the report states. The officer said he took the children inside the store to cool off and get water.

The mother, 25-year-old Jerrikka Shanelle Williams, was arrested and charged with four counts of child endangerment, police said. Her sister reportedly took custody of the children and the SUV.

Williams was being held at the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $20,000 bond as of Tuesday evening, records show.

Why did sister take custody and not the children's father?
Repeat after me: Baby momma culture - failed liberal social policies - vote republican.

According to past actions, had she been white, male, a Republican, and a judge in Hot Springs, she would not have been arrested, even if her actions had killed one of the children. In fact she could have continued to be a judge. Where is justice blind, and everyone treated equally? For the first 4 commenters, check back into your families' histories, and you'll probably find that you have had kin that had just as many, just as young, they just didn't have a car to leave them in, they just lived in a non air conditioned house and were bathed maybe once a week or two. Or is your real problem the young lady's color?

Of course it is the color. Plenty of ILKS not of color have appeared on these pages with f similar transgressions. While thry may be called stupid and/or irresponsible the sea bass usual B.S. of southern heritage is straight out of fox mountain.

Certainly she should be chastised & thoughts and thought I put forth to the concept of none of the children dying is a GOOD thing...but really , did humans have anything to do with their being saved?

Who do she think she is a dugger?

I would submit for your consideration that conservative policy may soon take care of children having the audacity of being born to bad parents... take away food and medical care and let nature take its course to reduce the population so conservatives can be happy especially at Xmas and thanksgiving. Misery if others some how gives them a sense of rightenous and pleasure.

TimberTopper, plenty of white people have received the same treatment as her. Only that judge received special treatment.

I doubt she realized she did wrong.

I gladly would have volunteered to sit in the car with her kids ( AC on/car running) while she ran into Walmart.
