A former prison inmate (Duane Jackson) who has adopted a new identity encounters the young woman (Maddy Meigs) with whom he had a passionate relationship 15 years previously, when she was 12 and he was 40, in Blackbird by David Harrower, 7:30 p.m. today-Saturday) and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Studio Theatre, 320 W. Guitarist-storyteller and northeast Arkansas native Justin Vinson and Friends perform a mix of originals and Americana favorites for First Fridays, 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Forum Theater, 115 E. A solo exhibit of paintings and monoprints by Tony Saladino goes on display with a 5-9 p.m. reception Friday at Justus Fine Art Gallery, 827A Central Ave., Hot Springs, in conjunction with the Spa City's monthly downtown Gallery Walk. The North Little Rock Community Concert Band closes out its 2018 concert season with a concert titled "As Time Goes By," music celebrating phases and events in North Little Rock history, 3 p.m. Sunday at the Patrick Henry Hays Center, 401 W. The program includes salutes to the city's early railroad history (The Iron Horse Across America by David Bobrowitz), the origin of Argenta (Argentum by Arkansas native Randall Standridge), Camp Pike during World War I (Solid Men to the Front by John Philip Sousa), the Old Mill ("Tara's Theme" from Max Steiner's score for Gone With the Wind, arranged by Ross Hastings), and the heritage of the names Bryant and Brandon (Interruptions by North Little Rock's Steven Bryant and Grace Preludium by W.
