6:45 P.M. UPDATE:
Law enforcement officers pulled the body of a man out of the Arkansas River at approximately 6:13 p.m. Thursday, hours after authorities said he crashed in the westbound lane of I-30, ran to the North River Landing pier and jumped in the water.
The man left a 1-year-old girl in his wrecked vehicle on the bridge above before his death, Arkansas State Police Sgt. Coty Williams said. The child was transported to Arkansas Children's Hospital with no apparent injuries and investigators are trying to figure out who she is, he said.
The Arkansas Online live traffic map showed traffic moving normally through the area of the wreck as of 6:30 p.m.
4:20 P.M. UPDATE:
Authorities said they believe they have found a body in the Arkansas River using sonar. North Little Rock Fire Capt. John Pflasterer said Thursday afternoon that they plan to bring in equipment to raise the body from the water.
Earlier Thursday, a man was reported to have run away from a crash on the bridge between Little Rock and North Little Rock, then down to the bank and to have jumped into the river.

Traffic was stalled in both directions from the Arkansas River bridge between Little Rock and North Little Rock on Thursday after multiple wrecks on the span, the Arkansas Department of Transportation reported.
Meanwhile, rescue boats were searching the water in the area after a report of a man who ran from one of the accidents to the bank of the river and then jumped in, a Little Rock Fire Department spokesman said.
It wasn't immediately clear why the unidentified person jumped in the water. Capt. Jacob Lear-Sadowsky said before 3:30 p.m. that crews were still searching and hadn't located the person.
The Department of Transportation said shortly before 3:30 p.m. that the eastbound left lane and shoulder and the westbound right lane were all shut because of multiple accidents. All lanes had reopened by 4 p.m., and the agency said traffic would slowly return to normal.
The Arkansas Online live traffic map continued to show traffic slowed north onto Interstate 40 and south onto Interstate 630.
At least one injury was reported in the wrecks.
